Monetisation Disclosure

On Kitchen Gadget Geeks, we review and share brilliant kitchen gadgets, cookware, food storage, cookery clothing and pretty much anything you can think of for the kitchen!

As you can imagine, to create a website like this, there are significant marketing, writing and server costs that we need to cover. So we need to fund the website. We’re not a fan of advertising, as we feel that adverts are distracting and annoying. So we do something different. That’s why we have have 2 main ways that helps us to fund the website.

1. Our own products

We have a handful of our own products that you can purchase, one of which is here.

2. Referral (affiliate) fees

We earn fees when you buy a product from a company that we recommend. This way of monetisation is called affiliate marketing. Many websites use affiliate marketing to pay the bills. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

All opinions are our own, and we do not accept payments for positive reviews. Whilst we may charge a product retailer to review their product, this does not affect what we say about the product.

We only recommend products and services that we genuinely like. If we think a product is a bit daft or just doesn’t work as it should, then we’ll say. Or we might even prefer to not publish it on our website at all.

Question #1 – will it cost you more money?

No! absolutely not. In many cases, we’re able to negotiate a special offer with the retailer, so you’ll often pay less.

Question #2 – do we see your personal details?

No! If you purchase from another retailer, we don’t see your details. All we see is a notification that an anonymous customer has purchased something.

If you purchase a product from us, or sign up to our email list, then yes, we’ll see your personal details. And that’s simply because you’ve chosen to give us those details so that we can fulfil your request.
